You inadvertently brought up something I have been curious about the past few years: the sending of children out of London to live with families in the country during WWII. Were you sent out? Even if you were not, do you know of any books that have been written about this and if so, could you please give me a few references? I rarely read non-fiction [unless Wilbur Smith comes out with a new novel] and reading on this subject would be purely for pleasure, not academically related at all. Lynn
