brec...

I'm looking at a bigger picture. I'll ask again. Have you used Datek???

perhaps misinformation by the folks there...it has been made very clear to me that isld is first choice, orders are then broadcast if not filled...market orders included. Give them a call...1-888-463-2835...tremendous liquididty makes for quick executions at the bid/ask regardless of mm/ecn, or so it seems...and with the stocks I've traded, I have never had the price move in a dramatic fashion where my fill moved substantially away from the best bid/ask, 1/8-1/4 max. Maybe I've been lucky. Now, I will never discount the fact that there might be a matter of semantics...and if I'm in error, I owe you an apology.

I agree with MBT with limit order, no argument there.

I will once again make it very clear from my personal experience...isld thru datek has been superior overall than with MBT...if one can work through the idosyncrasies, it is possible to actually daytrade with datek and isld and do it with success, although I would not recommend this practice. Believe me, I know....as always, there are tradeoffs, and part of the reason I have MBT as part of my arsenal.
