A comparable war to Intel - AMD would be the USA - Iraq

Of course, Tony, Intel can run AMD off the market, if they want, but, at what price? They will have to lower prices on a comparable chip, and there go the margins! That's the worry with chips. Intel hasn't had to do that so far. They will have to in the future.

You will see "Pentium III"s" in the under 2K business, but, at the Price Intel gets, not too many of them. I bought a Dell last month for the office with a Celeron chip from Intel. Works fine for us. Intel is going to have to push the low end to compete, and make less profit. I don't see any other way out for them.
