BELLINGHAM, WA, February 12, 1997...International Absorbents Inc. (NASDAQ:IABSF), a leading manufacturer and marketer of absorbent products made fromwaste wood pulp, today announced the introduction of CareFRESHr UltraT, a pure white animal bedding for the biotechnology laboratory market.
"Initial marketing of this high-end product has generated orders from two of the five largest drug companies in the world," commented Geoff Lawrence, CEO of Absorption Corp., International Absorbents' operating subsidiary. "Upon completion of ongoing analytical performance trials at a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical concern, we expect to be selected as their exclusive supplier for this application worldwide."
