Well I was jumped on the other day for trying to explain these important distinctions.

Fact No. 1. CPQ has not made any formal announcement or warning.

Fact No. 2. Information about first six weeks sales was given in response to a question.

Fact No. 3. The information was that there may not be any shortfall from what the company had expected.

Fact No. 4 The company did not make reference to analysts' expectations. The company did not withdraw its earlier statements that it was comfortable with analysts' expectations for the quarter or the year.

Fact No. 5 CPQ said that qua slow sales, the company projections might be affected by 1 cent.

Fact No. 6 CPQ said that qua Brazilian currency problems the cost might be 2 cents.

Fact No. 7 In explaining the slow sales, the company said the industry, as a whole, was experiencing the same.
