Gentlemen, I would like to share on this topic. A feminist to me is a woman that is confident and wants to be independent. There are many women like this in the scriptures. Luke 8 2: And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 3: And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. They helped support Jesus ministry out of their own means. Acts 16 4: And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul She had her own business and purple was a sign of elegant fabrics of value. God met Hagar at the well and has always cared for women tenderly. Submission is a misunderstood thing IMO. In Gods view it is an honor to submit and serve other people. Jesus himself as the Creator of the Universe, the giver of life and light said He came to serve not to be served and washed the feet of His disciples. Should we not become delighted in serving and submission in Him? I wish all women could find the joy of quietly coming along side of her husband and trusting in the Lord to guide them both in His love. Ephesians 5 21: Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23: For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24: Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Honestly the men have a bigger task in these verses and if they keep their part the women would easily submit to that kind of unselfish love. Nancy P.S. In the begining of the Proverbs 31 woman the author says "Who can find her?" He's dreaming IMO. |
