Hal,Mary Beth and Gus,

I talked with Karen today and asked her about KM increasing MR storage by 20%.
She told me that she never told anyone that and there obviously was some confusion
and/or misunderstanding on this issue.

Karen referred me to the AXC 10Q report page 16 under the Keepered Media Research and Development section.
There is reference to tests of KM with new generations of high-performance "inductive" heads.
Initial tests with these heads have indicated a post- channel linear
density gain of approximately 20%. Karen, thinks that some people
may be confusing this with MR heads.

Apparently AXC has no test data yet that indicates any storage increase for MR heads. They
do know however that an MR head can read data off of a keepered disk.
