To answer the specific question: no, I've not used Datek.

On the question of whether a market order can be routed to (and accepted and executed by) the Island ECN, I've shot my wad on that previously in this thread.

I was and am trying to be constructive here. I don't think this is a trivial question of semantics. I suggest that any trader having direct access to ISLD who thinks that it might be able to execute a market order might profit from a better understanding of how Island and similar ECNs work.

And yes, anyone who has never gotten a fill more than 1/4 away from the quote at the time a market order was entered has been lucky, or at least not unlucky.
