On Friday I went to a talk about Brex and Busang by farkason who was one of the strathcona geologists who uncovered and investigated the scam. It was a fascinating talk. The first two holes Brex drilled turned up little except what the Aussies had found then hole three was salted. They discovered the top part was salted with "jewellry gold" then the bottom half with placer. It probably startred as job preservation. Word gets to them if this hole doesn't hit they will have to shut her down so someone starts carving up jewelllery to be sure they hit. When the strathcona team goes in to drill their check holes they are in the enemy camp so to speak and have a couple ex british comandos as protection. I asked wasnt it a little daunting with everyone watching everyone etc, who was the toughest to deal with. Apparently it wasnt as bad as one would think but the toughest person to deal with was..... Felderhalfs wife...... who appartently gave all doubters a rough time. It was a good talk and well worth attending. regards Walt
