Hey Craig,

I agree a lot of the other items you listed are fair reasons to at least do a hmmmmmmmm about GIFS. But your last item that the CEO should worry about the business and not the stock price is not realistic.

You must not be familiar with the shit stock analysts give CEOs about companys. Any company from BBs like GIFS to giants like GM waste most of the CEO's time on stock price...the market these days doesn't really care about what the company makes or runs, only the quarterly stock performance...Yahoo and Netscapes IPOs should show that (did any one think that Netscape deserved that kind of P/E?????).

I must admit people like us are much of the reason, we buy a company hoping to own it a month or less and make a million. I'll keep investing in high risk stocks like GIFS and others, but the bulk of my investments are for the long haul (5 years +) so far these are paying off better than BBs.

That said either GIFS will totally tank or make me worry about my tax situation...Don't gamble if you can't afford to lose. But also look at the volumes, the movement from 2.5 to the current has been on small but average volume..the move up to 2.5 was on a huge jump in volume.

That means there is a lot of shares out there that sold at 2.5 based on the good news, and a lot less that sold below 2.5 based on rumor. Either a lot of suckers (me included) or some people who are betting big!

I hanging in till the end...thanks for the warning, but please lets stop being petty.
