Moves Administration and Corporate Management to Vancouver

STEPPE GOLD RESOURCES LTD ("SPE-V")

- Moves Administration and Corporate Management to Vancouver

John Menzies, President of Steppe Gold announces that it will move its administration and
corporate management to Vancouver effective March 1997. Steppe Gold continues work on its
existing projects and additional acquisitions. Administration Steppe Gold plans to relocate its
main administrative office to Vancouver, Canada effective March 1997. John Menzies, President
and Robert Bell, CEO will relocate to Vancouver. The financial administration of the company
will progressively shift to Vancouver and be completed by June 1997. Vancouver is well located to
serve the investor relations requirements of the company and surprisingly is about 8 hours less
flying time to Kazakstan. As previously announced the company intends to complete a heap
leach feasibility study which will be conducted with a contractor in North America. It is
anticipated that the company will appoint a Vancouver based Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and
public relations personnel during 1997. Kazakstan Projects Steppe Gold is exclusively focused on
gold and base metal exploration in Kazakstan and is currently working on a number of new
acquisitions in the country in addition to the existing Mizek Project. Steppe Gold has one of the
most efficient exploration infrastructures in Kazakstan with offices in Almaty and
Semipalatinsk. A large office - accommodation block at Mizek allows for year round operations.
Construction of a larger accommodation complex, commenced prior to the onset of winter, will
provide for both the construction team and the operations staff when Mizek is brought to
production. Steppe Gold is currently undertaking a detailed feasibility study on the Central
Mizek oxide gold deposit and exploration on the large Mizek exploration licence. Results from this
exploration effort have been very encouraging and follow-up of anomalies will continue during
the 1997 field season. During 1996 a country wide program of property evaluation was
undertaken which the company expects to result in new acquisitions during 1997. Steppe Gold
has instigated the establishment of the Central Asian web site, the principle source of mining
information on the region and in Kazakstan in particular on the internet. Investors are
encouraged to visit this site at info-mine.com Steppe Gold exclusively
sponsored a business luncheon and seminar for the President of Kazakstan and the First Deputy
Prime Minister which was attended by diplomatic staff and senior Australian Business
representatives in Sydney, Australia. This State visit was the first to Australia and aimed at
increasing trading activity between the two resource rich nations. A copy of the Steppe address is
available from the company.
