Dear hlpinout: See--there is TWO potential sales already!! I travel little and dont REALLY need a laptop. But, although I have never had to have either of the two computers I have owned serviced (outside of initial set up) I would not look forward to lugging all this IRON to the shop if it ever broke down. Much easier to pick up the lap top. Plus, the desktop takes up so doggone much room compared to a laptop. Were they both equal in performance I would be willing to pay some more just for the convenience factor. JDN
