Frank, open your mind to some other possibilities:

I don't think HyperTV is going to be limited to just sporting events for one thing. Furthermore there are apparently many people who watch tv and use their computers at the same time. There are millions of homes that fit this category, according to the press release yesterday.

Other thoughts, in no particular order:

1)This "push" technology is just the first step. We have the "pull" technology waiting for two-way interactivity.

2)It is my impression that it benefits ACTV to have this technology distributed as widely as possible. License it to everybody. It then becomes the standard.

3)Who are possible customers here? What about the broadcast networks? They are losing viewers so fast it's scary. A lot of these former viewers are spending time online. Why not try to recapture them with HyperTV?

4)Example for #3 above: What if CBS made a deal with Yahoo? Maybe all the prime time programming for CBS could be enhanced by HyperTV and carried on Yahoo! Think about that one.

5)What happens when ATHome and Excite close their deal? What are the possibilities there?

6)We haven't even started to consider the advertising angle yet. That is a potential blockbuster by itself.

Regards,
Jim
