All, V.42BIS will only receive 4:1 on test patterns with a very long syndome. In reality 2:1 will seldomly be acheived, usually around 1.5 to 1. Setting your serial port to a rater higher than 2x your modem will not give you any performance increase.... 115,200 on 28.8 is overkill and I challenge anyone to show differently. Sean
