Okay. I was hoping to be a bit more provocative, and perhaps snare some of the others into a discussion of the meaning of community, and patriotism, and the sublimation of one's "smaller self" into a larger conception of one's role in the world. I am glad at least that we can agree on the social dimension of human life, and that self- centeredness can be carried to far.
