Hello Robert:

You got me thinking again !!! Dangerous!!. To make the feeble attempt to try to place oneself in God's position and think why oh why would God not want us to seek the stars for wisdom.

According to science there are several thousand billion galaxies in the expanding universe. What mankind sees when we look at our heaven is stars in our own galaxy, the Milky Way. The nearest star is 3 or 4 light years away and the light from a distant star in our own galaxy would take 10,000 years to reach us. The visible stars we see therefore are only stars in very close proximity to this solar syatem.

To try to place a number on the visible stars would be far far less than 1% of the stars in our own galaxy; so therefore with such a limited perspective even within our own galaxy look how limited a view we have of any attempt to find the wisdom of God in the stars.

Just a few rambling thoughts.........gregor
