Some interesting background info on colorectal cancer screening can be found at: cpmcnet.cpmc.columbia.edu My read of article: Preliminary fecal occult blood testing for colorectal cancer is not a panacea or even close (making the mammogram analogy in Chemtrak's news release re ColoCARE somewhat dubious to this humble observer, although mammograms are far from perfect also). There are just too many variables that give false readings. Nonetheless, blood/stool test results are being further evaluated and will probably see increased use in the general population in the near future. Does anyone know of competition for this product?
