Copart Achieves Record Second Quarter Profitability Revenues Increase 22%, Earnings Per Share Rise 38% BENICIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--Copart, Inc. (Nasdaq:CPRT - news) today reported record profits for the second quarter and first six months ended January 31, 1999.
Copart earned net income of $4,821,600 in the second quarter of fiscal 1999, generating a 38% increase in earnings per share to $.18 per diluted share on revenues of $32,054,300. The Company had net income of $3,452,900, or $.13 per diluted share, on revenues of $26,173,600 for the same period in fiscal 1998.
For the first six months, Copart earned net income of $9,012,300, or $.33 per diluted share, on revenues of $62,247,400. Copart reported net income of $6,593,100, or $.25 per diluted share on revenues of $53,664,500 for the same period in fiscal 1998. |
