TQNT has been disappointing! On the RFMD's thread there is a write-up from an analyst who says RFMD will probably take business away from TQNT.

Here's some TQNT news:
TriQuint Semiconductor Announces Prototype Chip and Wafer Options for Its High Performance Microwave and Millimeter Wave Processes

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--

TriQuint High Performance Process Foundry Customers Have the Option

of Testing New Designs On a Prototype Chip Option (PCO) Run and

Pre-production Designs On a Prototype Wafer Option (PWO) Run

TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. announces the availability of two
cost- and time-effective methods for developing new custom microwave
and millimeter wave MMICs and testing their suitability for production
on TriQuint's high performance processes. TriQuint's Texas operation
has five gallium arsenide (GaAs)-based processes available for
monolithic microwave and/or millimeterwave frequency integrated
circuits (MMICs) which are targeted for low noise, general purpose, or
high power operation at frequencies through 40 GHz. All processes are
run on TriQuint's ISO9001 100-mm (four-inch) wafer production line.

The Prototype Chip Option (PCO) allows designers an inexpensive
means of prototyping FETs, interstage matching topologies, and even
entire circuits. Prices are kept low since mask sets are shared by
multiple customers. PCOs devices have predetermined chip sizes and run
on a set schedule which is published on the TriQuint website (and
listed below).

"The PCO is a great and cost effective way for customers to try
out and evaluate our processes or to evaluate new circuit elements,
matching circuits, or even complete designs," said Lisa Howard,
Foundry Business Manager for the TriQuint Texas Foundry.

The Prototype Wafer Option (PWO) allows customers to set their
own schedule for wafer fabrication. Each customer is the exclusive
owner of the mask set, so they can determine schedule, circuit sizes,
wafer thickness, and testing levels. The PWO bundles mask fabrication
and wafer fabrication into a single-priced package with two thinned
and diced wafers as deliverables. Support for basic Design Rule Check
(DRC), layout/model consulting and in-process monitoring is also
included. IC-level DC and RF testing is also available.

PROCESSES AVAILABLE

There are five production processes available through the
TriQuint Texas Foundry:

-- MesFET (0.5-micron): The LNLC (low noise, low current) option is

intended for LNAs, mixers, and signal amplifiers; The IPHC

(intermediate profile, high current) option is for moderate power

and general-purpose amplifiers and switches; both options to 18

GHz.

-- HFET (Heterostructure FET, 0.5-micron): Very high breakdown

voltages, RF output power, and efficiency. Typical apps: high

voltage power amplifiers and switches; lower voltage, high power

density linear circuits to 18 GHz

-- PWR-pHEMT (psuedomorphic HEMT, 0.25-micron): Both high power and

ultra-low noise designs through 40 GHz frequencies.

-- pHEMT (psuedomorphic HEMT, 0.5-micron): High power density, gain,
and efficiency; Low noise figures; for applications through 18

GHz.

-- VPIN (Vertical PIN): High performance switches, limiters, and

attenuators through 20 GHz (not available for PCOs).

SCHEDULE

The order placement schedules for the PCOs with 1999 deliveries
are:
-0-
*T

MesFET 15 June 1999

HFET 15 July 1999

0.25u pHEMT 15 March 1999 15 August 1999

0.5u pHEMT 15 September
*T

Additional PCO runs will be scheduled with deliveries throughout
2000, as well.

DELIVERY

Typical cycle times for mask and wafer fabrication is twelve (12)
weeks. Delivery of product for PCOs is in die form. The PWO customer
has the option to take delivery as whole wafers or as individual die
packaged in wafflepacks, gelpaks, or on tape.

SUPPORT

Technical support is available in multiple levels. A limited
amount of device model and wafer fabrication support is available with
a PWO purchase. Additional Engineering support is available to assist
with circuit design, design consulting, acquisition and evaluation of
custom FET data or models, and layout. Schedules, process
descriptions, and application notes for these processes and products
are available on TriQuint's website at www.triquint.com under the
"micro-/Millimeter Wave" section.

TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq:TQNT) is a leading
worldwide supplier of a broad range of high performance gallium
