Dan,

I will try to address your question. Also, I hope you dont think(as some here do) that by asking you these questions, I am trying to run down, or change your beliefs. I dont think I am capable of that, nor do I want to. I am just interested in hearing why people who hold different opinions than I do, feel as they do.

<<I am not sure what you are saying here. Narrow your scope. Are you talking if a man is somehow handicapped?(physically or mentally) If so then it is a whole different conversation>>

NO, not at all. I was just inquiring about a woman who may be more talented in certain arenas. Not that the man is deficient, just less talented.

<<IF you are just talking cause a man lets his own spirituality
lag then it is IMO to his shame, and he needs to repent.(BTW I know several married women who are the spiritual "heads" of their homes and they wish it was not so, believe me!)>>

It doesm't mean that the man has let his spirituality lag(although can certainly be the case). the women might just be naturally more spiritual.

<<That does not make it easy when some scum dog of a man decides to use that as a whip on his family. I realize that. >>

No, I wasn't even going there. That is just a case of a bad guy using any handy excuse to be a bad guy, IMO>

<<I do not expect that you would agree with this but as I said , this is to the mans shame, and he should repent. Whether the "world" likes it or not, God has called man to be the leader of the home. Now I know at this point you want me to say WHY I think that is so, but I can not take God's place with such an answer, ask God yourself. >>

This is the crux of the matter, IMO If a women and a man fall in love, and the women is just naturally more spiritual, why should anyone feel shame? They are as God made them, nothing more and nothing less. If that women has a desire to be the spiritual rock of her family, and is more suited to the job, then she should be that rock.
I can think of no logical reason why it shouldn't be that way. I can think f no reason that God wouldn't want the person most able to lead a family to greater and deeper spirituality, to be the head of that family. Sexual gender shouldn't matter, God given ability should.

<<Also you did not answer me about your own position. Are you second class... because I would almost bet you that you are "sub-serviant" to someone.>>

If I had a talent and a burning desire to do something, and allowed someone with lesser abilities to do it instead because they had the right and I didn't, then I would be a second class citizen.

The determining factor of having secondary rights is when you are more qualified to do something and are denied the rights to do it because someone with lesser ability is deemed to be more deserving for reasons such as race, gender, affiliations, etc.

There is no difference between a more qualified women not being allowed to lead for reasons of gender, and a women not being aloowed to vote because of gender. In both cases, the women is qualified, but is being treated as a second class citizen, because of gender. they are bieng denied the ability to excersice their rights because of the fact they are female.

So to play advocate, as you asked me to do, there is no logical reason that God or man should want to deny a women to be the spiritual head of their household, if it is in the best interests of the family.

Mark
