They are not "giving away" ZIPs, they have standardized on them. We have no idea how much they are costing Micron. The $25 is NOT an indicator of the cost. Once the ZIP is standard there is a cost involved in removing them. If I want to order, say, an IBM PC without any floppy drive - as I do from time to time - I have to pay extra; that doesn't mean that floppies have a negative cost.
