Hi Pat,
I've got a little stash of NN in my portfolio, waiting for a similar event to ALA - XYLN. I'd join in the thread more, but you've done an admirable job of keeping things straight. I do follow it regularly, and look for a return to its old glory.
This all brings up an interesting question. Since we will not become automatic ALA shareholders (something I wouldn't have minded at all), and we will also have the proceeds of the sale available to reinvest, what are people looking at to put their money?
I am also an ALA shareholder, and am thinking of moving some of my gains into more shares. After all, they did have the smarts to buy XYLN, their price is rather depressed from not long ago highs, and they've announced another acquisition in the works.
I'd be interested in others opinions. Bear in mind, I'm not looking for an alphabet soup of risky stocks, but those that have qualities akin to Xylan.
After we're all done patting ourselves on the back, there's not much else left to do on this thread. So where's everyone headin'?
