There are a lot of private companies ready to take XYLN's place --- Avici, Argon, Sycamore, IronBridge, Castle, and so on --- but that doesn't help right now.
I'm a real fan of the fiber optics companies, JDS Fitel and SDLI, but there JDS has already been spoken for (UNPH), and I don't know anything about the take-out possibilities for the other. Having said this, it might be worth exploring.
One of my investment contacts likes FIBR but I don't know a lot about it. Perhaps someone else does. It's definitely in a high growth area.
I'll be watching for other suggestions.
