Cyberhighway.net has in operation in Treasure Valley, Idaho a broadcast microwave ethernet link to the internet. 2 megabit per second access both ways. Present cost $50.00 / month. They plan on installing this type service in all fo their major markets. Cable television services some capable of two way communication are also entering the ISP buisness, and also bypass the phone companies. Believe me I will switch as soon as Cyberhighway makes their service available here, and US West loses one phone line into my house. The RBOC's will cut their own throats with a per minute charge. There are several other technologies that will bypass them and they will only hurry those technologies along with their extra charges. Bring on the extra charges!!!!!!
