OT <...my ignorance...>

Yes. My ignorance of medical technology was further demonstrated following the release of MDT's consolidated earnings after their latest acquisition. I exited at $73. Why don't you check the quote on MDT. Or is it a pooling of assets accounting concern do you suppose?

You see, poor MDT is also still trying to get OneWorld to work. Their Neuro division just aborted their OneWorld install again. Getting kind of close to the Y2K deadline. Maybe MDT will be able to get ALL its JDEC license fees back when they slide out into next year and can't take orders. Nothing like having your pacemaker show up late for surgery. "Just sew 'em, back up. We'll put it in later."

Sooner or later MDT will figure out that JDEC isn't suitable for their business. Just like it isn't suitable for any other multi-billion dollar, multi-national organization.

Will be interesting to watch MDT's Y2K disclosures throughout the year. How many other JDEC clients are slipping their install dates?
Bet a lot of the larger ones are. Hope their old apps are Y2K compliant.

BTW, did you find your village?
