If I understand you correctly, the institutional investors who invested in NSCP's IPO cannot sell until Feb. Is that correct? If so I would concur that there will be selling in that sector soon. Sure the net is great, but NSCP started at $28. They will lock in their gains as they did on MU.

It seems very rational to expect that these funds will flow back into SEMIs after the new year, December book to bill should be strong. As the analysts spend the holidays with their families and notice all the Silicon Memory that is under the tree, and the smile on their children's face when they get opened, they will realize that this is far from over.

Flash memory is in everything from cellular phones to talking barbies!!!

I am hoping for a stronger than usual January effect in this sector for the reasons stated above.

As for Kent, he may have done ok in his gold, but if I were him, I would trade out of gold before the Fed acts. No real good reason to be in gold when LT rates are going below 6%. If you're out there Kent, what do you think?
