Certified Grocers Chooses The viaLink Company's Web-based Item Catalog Solution For Scan Based Trading Pilot Program
EDMOND, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--The viaLink Company, Inc. (Nasdaq:IQIQ - news) today announced that Certified Grocers, California's largest grocery wholesale company with more than 2700 stores, has selected the viaLink Item Catalog(TM) for use in a scan based trading pilot program.

''Certified Grocers' decision to use viaLink is further proof that the promise of electronic commerce in the food and grocery industry is here today,'' commented Chuck Harrison, Ernst & Young's alliance manager for viaLink.
