Zeev; I took a look in my book of all things and petzite is an compund of silver, gold and tellurium. This is a true compound, and not an alloy. Which explains the difficulties in getting at it. The chloride process may be exposing it to higher temp in the prseence of chloride ions. They will attack the silver and the resultant silver chloride is highly insoluble. The remaining gold tellurium may also be attacked by the chloride to get gold ions into solution, leaving tellurium to shift for itself, or there my be other complexing materials like cyanide or thiourea to attack the gold/telluriom ions.??? This is speculation, but research goes on.
Looks like some poor fellow got cleaned by the MM spreads today. Thats NASDAQ for oyu. Any reputable dealer would have fed the stock in properly and slowly. This dumping at market shows disdain for his client. Unless it was greedy warrant buyers flipping out, what do they know that we don't??
