**OT**Monitor/video card question:

I have a 19" Hitachi SuperScan Elite 753, a STB Velocity 4400 (TNT), 2 CL Voodoo2 under Win98.

When I run non glide based games my monitor switches to a high resolution that is not fully supported. The image gets distorted and there are horizontal lines on the top inch of the screen. I have set the refresh rate in Windows at 85hz. This does not solve the problem. Glide based games run at whatever refresh rate I set. The refresh rates in Windows are fine too. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
