NorthStar, Let's put 2 and 2 together. First, check out this exerpt from Telia press release 25 February:
"Cisco Systems Inc., the No. 1 maker of networking equipment, is buying Telia AB's entire existing telecommunications infrastructure, then leasing it back to Sweden's No. 1 phone company as Telia simultaneously awards Cisco a contract to build A NEW NETWORK BASED ON INTERNET TECHNOLOGY,..." --------------------------------------- This from Cisco VP for business development 25 February (from Bloomberg):
Volpi said the Cisco wasn't seeking to buy out VocalTec Communications Ltd., although it wants to expand joint activities with the company, one of the early developers of software that lets people make telephone calls over the Internet -------------------------------- Then this today:
''We chose VocalTec's Internet Phone Call Waiting because our customers want flexible solutions that allow them to surf the Internet without missing incoming calls from traditional phones,'' said Bjorn Norrbom, president at Telia Light, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telia, the leading telecom carrier of the Scandinavia and Baltic regions. ''Our strong working relationship with VocalTec coupled with the flexibility of the VEA platform allows us to move quickly and deploy new value-added services in response to customer needs.'' --------------------------------------
Everyone should draw their own conclusions from this, I'm feeling pretty good about my investment here, myself.
