I am unsure if the Van Wagoner funds still hold their 5%. However, I do not see why they would have sold, because recent developments have been positive for IRIX, though it is not necessarily reflected in the low share price.

I try not to worry about whether mutual funds hold or do not and all that stuff, just the fundamentals of the company. However, I hadn't heard that everyone is redeeming from Van Wagoner. I happen to be a shareholder of Van Wagoner Post-Venture, and I'm in it for the long haul.

IRIX is poised to come up with great results in 1997 and 1998. I figure the rest will take care of itself.

**********

Nelson's Consensus Earnings Estimate Database shows them increasing profits to $.23 a share in 1997 and then to a whopping $.45 in 1998. If you buy at around $7 a share, you're paying just 30 times '97 earnings and 15 times '98 earnings. Not bad for a company expected to expand earnings 3-fold in the next 2 years... and that doesn't include earnings from any new products in the pipeline..

Bull on IRIX,

Ben
