Yes, perhaps so but the underlying argument for DELL is far different from that for companies building networking infrastructure.

First there was the PC. People were happy working in a vaccum.
Then they wanted to share files thus LANs were created.
Then business wanted to "network" their LAN's over the miles
Now these business want to integrate all communications.

The PC was the begining and is now entering maturity - growth is slowing and replacement products for accessing the web/network are begining to be developed and brought to market. This low cost devices will further stimulate the infrastructure build-out. We're a long long way from even understanding the size of this growth. I strongly believe that if you base network growth on analysts reports then your position is biased based upon how the vendors want to lead the market. Remember Cisco, LU, and others want to make expectations otherwise they risk losing investors and stock valuations. They talk the stock down. Analysts get the basis for their projections from these vendors and now you're basing your report on this data. Exactly what the vendors want. You're doing their bidding for them my friend.

Others that really understand the market dynamics and growth prospects...the realization that this is the begining of the internet revolution which will be larger than the industrial revolution are capatilizing. Those that follow the lead of the jawboning done by the vendors to stabilize valuations will not realize the tremendous gains to be had.

still... looks like a blip coming up.. I suggest a strong buy for CSCO, LU/ASND, CPQ, DELL, INTC, MSFT should any of them shave 20% from yesterdays close.
