I believe the Playstation has 3 major chips in it: one from LSI, one from Toshiba, and one from Sony itself. (You can check the LSI thread for more.) In other words, I don't think MPEG's rise is from this. Regardless, something else caused it, and I'm not complaining! We'll find out soon enough. Ray
