The store in Moncton looks a bit barren. They may be opening a bargain center for selling. I remember the Eatons store of old when we'd go through the bargain basement as a child. I also remember the aw of going up the first and second floors as a young child on the elevator. Nothing like this now. Shopping is an everyday experience.

Wonder if they will be trying to sell the store or will they be looking for a gimmick to make the shopping experience a pleasure and a bit inspiring. Something for everyone.

I asked the personelle before inventory if they were for sale place looked bleak. New stock is arriving and is mixed with the winter at present. Maybe the bargain center is for turn over of stock.?

I like Eatons hate sears don't know why.
Watched the IPO at $15. Thank goodness I only watched. Bought a few shares the other day but evidently I should have waited a little longer after reading this thread.

What are your feelings about the company. Did the brothers abandon the store and concentrate to much on CHUM.

Oh yes I remember being in the houseware section when the Moncton store was selling the furniture and electronic division, and an older woman said that The founder would be turning over in his grave if he knew what was happening to hi business.

Hope I didn't rattle on to much and please forgive my scattered thoughts.

Good Luck and It will be a sad day if Eatons has to close it doors for good.
