My guess is I think the new processors are probably just tweeked .25u process. it's a first sign of movement in 9 months (as far as speed grades go). We are finally at 300 MHz with MII.
I think they should sell the PR366 part as a desktop as well. Actually, they have to sell them to desktop market if they want to sell any chips between now and the summer.
I don't now how will this chip compare to Intel and AMD mobile chips in power consumption. If they are on par, I think Cyrix has a potential of doing well. If you look at competition, the highest performance chip is PII-366 with 256K on chip L2. PR-366 should not be too far back.
Re: lack of 3DNow - I don't think anyone cares about it or KNI (or whatever), especially in laptops.
