I just finished listening to the conference call and get the feeling they're caught in a product shift that's been exacerbated by a more rapid decline in the enterprise space than they'd planned. Eric reiterated they are moving to the faster growth enterprise and carrier class switch markets in both LAN and WAN and away from the slower growth client access/analog modem areas. [I have to wonder how much the USRX purchase has cost them.] When he spoke of the combined LAN telephony, cable modem, DSL markets, he said, "I know while these only represent 10% currently, the combined revenues can double in the next 12 months." At one point he said the co. would buy back shares, so perhaps that will send a positive message as well. One analyst asked about Y/Y growth and was told 10% was optimistic. Not horrible, but certainly not in line with the industry.

I was looking for clues to the networking sector and got what I wanted.

What was your take on the tone of the analysts?

Pat
