Thanks for your response. If I read you right then, Hewlett interpreted the USGS data one way, you interpret it a different way. Classic "glass half full" or "glass half empty" it appears.

Nonetheless, it is encouraging (to me at least) that the USGS did identify some occurrences of minerals in the mountains surrounding the Peoria claims, even if there was no production data that would lead them to identify them as "mineral deposits".
