Quantum Expects 1999 Disk-Drive Growth, CEO Brown Tells CNBC March 2 (Bloomberg) - Quantum Corp. expects to see growth in the disk-drive business this year, Quantum Chief Executive Michael Brown said on financial news network CNBC. Brown said that although last year was a ''particularly tough year'' for disk-drive makers, Quantum expects the December quarter to be strong. ''After a very strong December, we would typically see a seasonal decline in units in March, and we're actually seeing flat units in March - it's a sign of strength in the market,'' Brown told CNBC.
