Just got back from Seybold.

11 hour roundtrack on Amtrak. I'm beat and going to sleep.

Have a bunch of *very* interesting things to report from the Apple Reseller Seminar, but I'll give you one tidbit.

It turns out that Apple created over *$1 billion* in leases/loans last year. I asked the presenter how much Apple earned from these. He said that Apple subcontracted them out to GE Capital, Heller Financial, etc.

I asked, given Apple's large cash stake, why Apple just didn't do the finance in-house? He answered that Fred Anderson didn't think the time was right -- but it was something that they continually review.

I know a lot of this is corporate and education customers who get favorable terms, but those $29.95 iMacs' current floating is over 14%.

You do the math ...

PS. znv, you can crawl back under your rock now.
