bgg,

Good observations. I should have pulled the plug at 48 (my cost basis) while I had the chance. I've owned the company since just before the Asian crash of October 97.

3Com warned in it's last CC that this would probably happen this QTR. This company does not have the earnings consistency that Cisco has and that will continue to penalize the stock. I personally never expected it to be in Cisco's league. (For the record I own about 20 times more Cisco than 3Com.) and I have liked this company but it has just disappointed too many times. So folks I will probably sell in the high 20's and hopefully the low 30's before summer.

This company has great potential that just seems to disappear at critical moments. Since it is so close to the edge it will never have the margins that the leader has. The street hates disappointments!

Tomorrow will be volatile, the mutual funds were dumping this one today and it should continue tomorrow. My guess is that it will break it's 52 week low ending somewhere in the low 20's. Most of the damage has been done. It can't get too much worse. If you can call a 50%+ drop in the last month bad then we have yet to see the bottom.

Regards to all,

Eric
