Eli, JPEG is an out-of-date image compression standard which is used mostly in video non-linear editing market. New standards, like DVC and DVC-pro, have been proposed by SONY and Panasonic. It looks like they will replace JPEG on digital camcoder and digital VCR markets. The MPEG and AC3 compression chips that Zoran has today are audio only solution. For DVD market, all of the major players, LSI, SGS, Hyndai, C-Cube and Toshiba, have a video+audio integrated solution. The chance that system vendors will use separate audio solution is low.
