Interesting that on chart 1, today's fake rally in gold only help confirm a breakdown of the XAU {red line on chart #1}. Whether that is attributed to interest rates of improving USA economics is VERY import to the longer trend of the XAU, and GOLD. And for confirmation of a breakdown you need to look outside the USA.... Canada is the answer. With two of the larger producer/hedgers in Canada, the best chart to consider is the TSE Gold and Silver index. The following chart shows clear sign of a market break down... consider the seperation of the Yellow, and black lines.
