been under assault by Negative Hypsters, I have begun to see this as a positive sign, coupled with the high short interest on OMKT.
After eliminating the possible reasons for the flurry of negativity, I have come to the conclusion that this/these poster(s) are very well acquainted with the company and they know there is good OMKT news coming out.
Contrary to what appears on the surface to be an onslaught of bad news, I suspect they may want to hype the stock lower so they can accumulate more at lower prices in advance of some earth-shattering OMKT announcement. The level of effort they are putting out is just too much to be commensurate with someone trying to cover a simple short position, etc.
-They like BVSN. That means they like this sector of E-commerce, including OMKT if OMKT gets some wind in its sails.
-They know OMKT has some great strengths, but are systematically ignoring anything positive about OMKT.
-They know when street sentiment changes for OMKT, that OMKT will easily go over $20-30.
-They know there is a significant amount of short interest, which also would contribute to an explosive rally when news comes out.
These are the possible reasons for the preponderance of Negative Hypsters which I've systematically eliminated:
1. They are short: Not likely, given the low price of OMKT in its recent trading range and strong support over $11/share. Most shorters go short after a substantial runup, OMKT hasn't had a significant runup in 2-3 weeks. Had they been short, there has been plenty of time to cover at a decent profit. Shorts don't like to linger in a stock too long because upside losses can be devastating.
2. They've sold calls and want them to expire worthless: Also not likely because there's not a huge level of open interest in March calls, for example. Plus we're not even near expiration date of the March series.
3. They are paid to post negative hype by someone who is either short or who wants to accumulate in advance of news. Possible explanation also.
4. They are disgruntled former OMKT employees with a personal vendetta against the company: Probably not. No one hates their former employer enough to spend all day posting negative hype on Yahoo! The amount of work these/this guy(s) are doing to try to keep OMKT's price down is staggering! Therefore, these peckerwoods obviously have SUBSTANTIAL FINANCIAL INTEREST in sabotaging OMKT, otherwise they wouldn't blitz the board with so many posts.
It does also seem clear that the Negative Hypsters also intimately know details about the history of this company as if they were employees, or they know employees, making it increasingly likely that they might also happen to be privy to some GOOD information about to happen to OMKT.
-These hypsters are not here for good samaritan reasons to "save investors from losing money."
-They're not here to sabotage BVSN's competitor so BVSN stock will rise (BVSN's stock is rising just fine without their help).
-They're not here to hype OMKT lower to cover short positions (They know further OMKT price declines from here will be harder and harder to achieve on a percentage basis).
Because of the foregoing, I view this sudden onslaught of Negative Hype as a harbinger of good news. Just as when the PUT/CALL ratio in the markets gets overly bearish, it's time to buy.
We'll see soon if my theory is correct...
