Let's assume a buyout. (Yea, I know what happens when you assume) I'm ignorant on what happens after that. Say a company decides to buy Vocaltec at $30 a share. Does the stock quit selling on the NASDAQ on the day of the announcement. Then can you sell shares at $30 on that day or does it continue to trade on demand. And if so why would it trade above $30? As a shareholder, I sure would like to know an answer. Can somebody help me out? I'm a long time listener (LTL).
