No surprise for us? Turkey says U.S. bombing Iraq pipeline unacceptable
ANKARA, March 3 (Reuters) - Turkish President Suleyman Demirel said on Wednesday that Ankara could not accept U.S. strikes in northern Iraq that led to the closure of a pipeline carrying crude from Iraq to Turkey.

Asked if the U.S. bombing of the pipeline was acceptable, Demirel, speaking at an energy conference, replied: ''No, it is not acceptable.'' The U.S. warplanes patrol the skies of northern Iraq from a base in southern Turkey.
