There are three parts: NextLevel, which is Satellite comm, another, which is cable equipment, and the third which makes semiconductors for telecomm equipment. NY Times has had an article about this last month. GIC was written up in Barron's two or three weeks ago. They are very optimistic about the first two parts. The last one may be a potential acquisition for another firm. I have to look into the news on GIC --- I understood that restructuring costs may be part of the report yesterday. I've also heard the same that they may be leaving a large portion of the debt load in the third part but that is only speculation for now. I still own it --- my cost is $ 25.
