Finally I find some agreement regarding Citrix vs. Java. I just couldn't understand why others didn't think Java (sending tiny apps down the pipe) would not compete with Citrix (sending screen refreshes only down the pipe). I also agree, Java is way off in the future, but all those IBM engineers working on it, does cause me some concern. Lately we have heard very little about Java. I guess the hype stage is over. Wish I knew more about how it is coming along, especially over at IBM. Do you (or anyone else) have any opinions on Citrix's ability to increase sales in the enterprise software market? Specifically mentioned was, "BMC or Computer Associates" like. If I'm not mistaken, it seems like if you can only hook up five or so (maybe it's ten?) thin clients, to each server, doesn't this severely restrict it's usefulness to the "large customers" in the enterprise market? You would have to build a heck of a server farm if a large company opted to use Citrix technology. So how does Templeton work around this problem in his quest for the enterprise market?
