The key question is whether or not the replaceable
magnetic disk will replace the floppy. If it does, and it
appears as though it will, Iomega will be the Intel
(NASDAQ: INTC) or Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT)
of the industry so far as the company will have unlimited
potential to leverage the technology and gain additional
licensing revenue. First Montauk estimates that the chance
of this occurring is about 5 to 1. If that progression occurs
Iomega's multiple will expand rapidly, and the upside
could be enormous.
