For what it's worth?

The news broke today while Checkfree's senior management were off site
locked in strategic planning meetings and Intuit's Bill Harris was away from his office preparing to present at the H&Q Investor's Conference. Harris spoke to the H&Q analyst and and I am told, said essentially that everyone was trying work things out behind the scenes.

Apparently, the contention, whatever it is, has been brewing for some time without resolution. Hence the threatened lawsuit. As has been pointed out here in prior posts, Checkfree has more pending deals in the oven beyond the Yahoo one that has been talked about.

I would surely not get hysterical over this, but wait and see how it all plays out. Those who like the stock at these levels might feel it presents a buying or trading opportunity.
