and the demo ride was friggin awesome!! Bike handled better than any cruiser I have ridden (Japs as well as
HD). And having owned a sport bike early in my riding years, I thought the bike performed more like a
crotch rocket than a cruisers. I couldn't believe the torque and hp. When I asked about the hp, I was told that
it was in the 70s range but they were actually thinking of kicking up to 100 by changing one of the chips. I
didn't go back and read a bunch of post, so I am a little confused about why someone thinks the show bikes
have more hp. The demo bike I rode was the same one that Dave Hanlon rode during their parade on
Monday....I saw him get off of it. So if it is a special super show bike, how come they are using them in the
demo fleet? And as someone else pointed out, you can smoke the tires on a lot of bikes. But torque is a LOT
more responsible than hp for being able to do that in all of the gears of the E-H......so your hp argument is
pretty week. Display looked real good, lots of people around their set-up, and demo ride lines were 3-4
hours long. While I was waiting, almost every comment I heard was that the wait was worth it......which I
agree with. Obviously not everyone is going to like the bike, but the engineering certainliy seems sound and
the bike rode like a dream. Anyone got questions about other aspects I can fill in from Daytona?
